Join the Nashville Shakespeare Festival for Shakespeare Allowed, our free monthly gathering to read Shakespeare’s plays out loud and with friends!
Pull up a chair in the reading circle or settle in to listen and follow along. All voices and experience levels are welcome, and you don’t need to have read the play beforehand. Come for one reading or make it a monthly tradition.
Please arrive at 11:50 am so we can get settled before the reading begins at noon. The first 16 people who wish to read aloud will receive a number that determines the reading order. We’ll take a 15-minute break midway through, when additional readers can join the circle. Some copies of the play will be available, but please bring your own if possible.
Location: Inglewood Branch of the Nashville Public Library
4312 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216
Free and open to the public.
