Hamlet
By William Shakespeare
Directed by Nat McIntyre
Collins Auditorium at Lipscomb University
April 18-28, 2024
Hamlet, Shakespeare's tragic masterpiece about grief, madness, and revenge, is as relevant today as the day he wrote it. A young man grieving the murder of his father plots revenge on his uncle who did it. Is doing wrong ever right? That is the question. Hamlet is the most quoted play in the world: "To be or not to be," "To thine own self be true," "There's method to his madness," and many more. Hamlet is a powerful, poetic exploration of the human psyche through the lens of one tragically dysfunctional family.
