In contrast to his earlier works, Shakespeare imbues his later female characters with an understanding of life more than equal to men.  Written and directed by Mark Cabus, this one-woman tour-de-force stars NSF’s Artistic Director, Denice Hicks.

SHAKESPEARE IN THE GALLERIES: THE ROMAN PLAYS

From Julius Caesar and Titus Andronicus, to Anthony and Cleopatra, the people of ancient Rome have been an inspiration to authors and playwrights throughout history. See the stories of emperors, senators, and generals come to life as actors from The Nashville Shakespeare Festival perform dramatic readings from Shakespeare’s Roman plays in the galleries of Rome: City and Empire.  The selection of scenes will be accompanied by live music in this one-hour immersive gallery experience.
