In its work, the Nashville Shakespeare Festival strives to bring the world of theatre to the students of the Middle Tennessee area. In-school workshops, summer programs, and other in-depth experiences are offered by the Festival to the students of the area in order that more and more of today's young people can have the opportunity to be exposed to the artistic world of the theatrical universe. Expansion of young minds is more than a hope. Broadening the horizon of young peoples' experiences is not just an idea. For the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, these things are a reality that shall, hopefully, continue to grow.

The Nashville Shakespeare Festival launches into the Blogosphere:
These 15 talented teens were selected by audition to receive intensive Shakespearean actor training and then to rehearse and perform alongside professional actors in the 2008 Shakespeare in the Park production of CORIOLANUS.
The 2008 Apprentice Company is made possible in part by the generous donation of Byron and Beth Smith.
