THE NASHVILLE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL'S 2016-17 SEASON

The Comedy of Errors & Macbeth

at Centennial Park, August 11 – September 18, 2016

For our 29th Annual Shakespeare in the Park, we wil have two shows in repertory. These productions will be seen by up to 15,000 people. Advertising opportunities include space in our Playbill and banner advertising in Centennial Park throughout the run of the show.

The Comedy of Errors will be a Nashville Shakespeare Festival signature work set in 1967 Nashville, with original music and featuring the return of As You Like It’s David Olney and Stan Lawrence to our stage, directed by Denice Hicks.

“Something wicked this way comes!” Shakespeare’s dark and bloody tragedy Macbeth will be performed by the 2016 Apprentice Company, directed by Nat McIntyre.

Romeo & Juliet

at Belmont University's Troutt Theater, January 4 - January 28, 2017

Directed by Santiago Sosa, our 10th annual Winter Shakespeare production will be attended by up to 7,500 Nashvillians, including many area high school students.

The winter production allows The Festival to provide both public performances and daytime school performances. The first eight winter productions served over 35,000 Middle Tennessee students and adults. The NSF was awarded grants to serve at-risk children, who are given the opportunity to experience these productions free of charge.

The Nashville Shakespeare Festival relies heavily on the generosity of corporations, foundations, individuals and government agencies for the facilitation of our efforts to provide Shakespearean experiences to Middle Tennessee.

Businesses and foundations receive excellent exposure and are granted myriad benefits in exchange for helping us continue to give the gift of Shakespeare.  Corporations and foundations may choose to sponsor The Nashville Shakespeare Festival in the following ways:
